There are currently nine weeks until Christmas.
In the next nine weeks, “the holiday season” is the period that most guys and girls pack on the majority of their unwanted weight.
At the end of the year, it’s easy to fall into the mindset of “I’m just going to relax and coast, then I’ll hit my fitness goals hard again starting in the new year.”
Honestly, if that’s what you want to do, that’s great.
But you could also do the total opposite.
That’s the way I prefer to do things.
I like to get ahead and earn my rewards.
If you start now, you can quickly lose 10 - 20 pounds of belly fat before Christmas.
Then once Christmas arrives, you can take a few days to relax and enjoy Christmas and New Year celebrations.
And I find it FAR easier to enjoy myself when I know I’ve earned it.
You may gain a pound or two of fatback, and then you’re starting the New Year with a massive head start.
As I said, there’s nothing wrong with just relaxing now for the rest of the year if you’re okay with gaining 5 to (god forbid) 20 pounds of body fat from now till the new year and then spending the first two months of 2022 getting it off.
You’re free to make that decision, of course.
