On September 16, 2025, Covenant of Courage hosted a powerful tabling event at the Janet Goeske Foundation in Riverside, California, as part of our ongoing Veteran Empowerment Workshop Series. The event brought together veterans from different generations — including several Vietnam-era veterans — for a day of connection, reflection, and renewed purpose.
We shared stories of military life, sacrifice, and resilience — moments that reminded us how much we have in common despite the decades between our service years. Many spoke of the challenges of transitioning back into civilian life, the bonds of brotherhood forged under fire, and the shared commitment to serve others long after the uniform is hung up.
Throughout the afternoon, we discussed practical steps for moving forward:
Reclaiming leadership roles in our communities
Supporting younger veterans and youth cadets through mentorship
Building strength and purpose through adaptive fitness and recovery coaching
Expanding veteran volunteer opportunities in local service programs
The message was clear — we’re stronger together. Each story added a new layer of wisdom, courage, and hope for what’s next.
At Covenant of Courage, we believe in bridging the gap between generations of warriors. Whether you served in Vietnam, the Gulf, or the Global War on Terror, your experience and voice matter. Together, we’re creating a community where no veteran walks alone.
